  11. I just installed two new serial ports on my 486/66.  I'm am using them
  12. as COM1 and COM2, so I had to disable my  old serial ports.

  14. My mouse on COM1 works well, but my modem on COM2 doesn't work when I
  15. check the USE FIFO BUFFER in windows 95.  I did a diag test on COM2 +
  16. modem - it sees the 16550 uart.

  18. If I uncheck the USE FIFO BUFFER my modem works.
  19.  
  20. Could it be my BIOS?  Do I need a new com driver?
